BauKoDat GmbH provides a web-based software solution that enables the creation and management of an internal construction cost database for businesses. The company was founded by Manuel Mickler and Timo Mertin and was developed at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. BauKoDat is designed to be compatible with common AVA software formats, allowing for the import of bills of quantities in GAEB format and price lists from Excel, CSV, or XML. The platform automatically updates prices based on the official construction price indices from the Federal Statistical Office. The company received a 'Hessen Ideen Stipendium' and in July 2024 began a six-month funding program to further develop the business idea.
